Multiple fire crews responded to a house fire at 401 First Street NE in Melcher-Dallas around 6:00 Wednesday evening. The house received major damage, and is possibly a total loss. Marion County Real Estate Records show the deed to the property is held by Jennifer Mally. Melcher-Dallas Fire and Rescue, Knoxville Township Rural Fire, Indiana Township Fire Department, Pleasantville Emergency Services, Marion County Emergency Management, the American Red Cross, and possibly other agencies responded.
