Victory Christian Academy in Indianola held their annual Veterans Day Service Thursday, with a program including the folding of the flag, the Pledge of Allegiance, honoring veterans with Quilts of Valor, and patriotic songs. VCA Administrator Dr. Sandra Dop tells KNIA News the program is something the kids look forward to all year long.
“They enjoy this program so much, and look forward to it so much. I actually have alumni come back and tell me this is one of their favorite events, because it means we get to honor the people who give them the freedom that we have.”
Dr. Dop also wanted to thank the quilters who contributed the Quilts of Valor, with 16 quilts provided to veterans this year.
