While young, the Melcher-Dallas Volleyball Squad has some potential for success in the next few seasons as the rebuild process continues. Coach Jesyka Nolte tells KNIA Sports her freshmen got significant playing time and hopes they will continue to play volleyball in the offseason and come back in 2022 to continue to build towards success.

Nolte: “They’ve got some good skills, and there were some that were out for a time. Gabby Overgaard played well then she was out for a week due to sickness and it took her a while to get back, and Kianna Jackson did some good things. So I’m excited to see them come back and try to improve.”

Overgaard led the Saints with ten blocks this season with eight being solo and led in that department as well. Kianna Jackson was right behind at nine blocks with three solo. The Saints finished 5-17 this season.
