The Indianola American Legion post 165 held a Veterans Day Service Thursday, honoring all veterans who served in the United States Armed Forces. Post Commander James Sullivan tells KNIA News in addition to their service, veterans were invited to attend events involving the Indianola Middle School and Victory Christian Academy where veterans were honored, and that means a lot to him and many others.

“It’s the kids getting involved, passing the patriotism from our generation on. They’re the ones that will be defending this country in the future, so it means a lot to us. It’s all about the kids, that’s what we go to war for, for the kids in our country.”
