The Knoxville Boys Cross Country Squad will lose 12 total runners from the program due to graduation, including two time State Qualifier Seth Walraven. Coach Michael Splavec tells KNIA/KRLS Sports next fall will see a lot of varsity spots open for any of the returning runners and a few of the freshmen coming in from middle school.
Splavec: “They’re going to fill a lot of those roles especially with offseason training whether it’s playing other sports or winter running. I’m excited to see what they can do over the winter and spring and how much they improve before next season.”
Splavec adds the middle school program has a few runners that will be freshmen that could challenge for a spot on varsity.
