PCM’s volleyball squad had 12 wins in 2021, and eight of those wins came in weekend tournaments.

The Mustangs came away with at least one win in every tournament they competed in this season. Their first tournament was the Newton Early Bird Invitational, where they went 2-1, knocking off Des Moines Hoover and Saydel. PCM then went 1-3 at the West Marshall tournament the following weekend, beating Centerville. Their third tournament was at BCLUW, and the Mustangs went 1-4, defeating Hudson. Two weeks later, PCM went 2-3 at the North Mahaska tournament, beating the host and Pleasantville. The final tournament of the season was at Pleasantville, where PCM went 2-3, knocking off Saydel and Martensdale-St. Mary’s.

PCM finished the season with a 12-22 record with a 3-4 record in Heart of Iowa Conference play. The Mustangs lost in the first round of the playoffs to Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont.
