Knoxville High School students and staff were featured Wednesday in the Washington Post in an article about school trips returning to the nation’s capital. Members of the freshman and sophomore class recently returned from their trip, which had been postponed multiple times due to the pandemic.
Staff writer Natalie Compton wrote about the group’s experiences on the trip while sharing photos of their activities as a way to highlight the return of tourism to Washington, DC. Madi Day-Suhr, Sara Finnegan, Janie Maasdam, Ezra Schmidt, Kyl Bauer, and Jason Vinsick were interviewed and quoted in the story. Superintendent Cassi Pearson tells KNIA/KRLS News she’s proud of the team and kids, and happy they got to share their story with the world.
