The Indianola City Council received the FY2021 Audit Report at their meeting Monday, reviewing city finances and procedures. City Manager Ryan Waller tells KNIA News the audit came back very favorably for the city, which he says is due to the hard work of city staff.

“This is something that we do on an annual basis. We have an outside audit firm come in and review all of our processes and does some sampling to make sure everything is on the up and up. And to no surprise it is, the audit was a very clean audit which residents should be very proud of. Our staff does a great job.”

Waller also said the city received the Distinguished Budget Award for the fifth year in a row, which further highlights the city staff’s work on being good stewards of taxpayer dollars.
