Today is Small Business Saturday, and the Knoxville Chamber of Commerce encourages everyone to shop local. Many of Knoxville’s businesses will offer special deals for the occasion. Chamber Director Emma Skahill says people support the greater good of the community by shopping locally the entire holiday season.

“The pandemic really opened people’s eyes to the importance of shopping local and supporting the small businesses in our communities. These are the ones that keep our communities thriving. We see these people on a daily basis, so it’s important to support them. On Small Business Saturday, we’re encouraging the community to shop local and support the businesses in Knoxville. They have a lot of great products and services, and we’re excited to see the community support them this holiday season.”

Along with today’s specials, the deals given out through the chamber’s Snowball Drop also begin Saturday, and run through Christmas Eve.
