The first doubleheader of the 2021-22 season for PCM’s basketball squads are tonight as they take on Class 1A Powerhouse Montezuma.

The Mustangs’ girls will take on the No. 6 in Class 1A Bravettes in the first game of the doubleheader. PCM is coming into the matchup with an 0-2 record, with losses to Chariton and Knoxville to begin the season. The Mustangs’ boys will try to turn their opening win into a winning streak against the defending Class 1A champion and No. 24 Braves. PCM opened the season with a resounding 77-48 victory over Knoxville Tuesday night. The Mustangs got 23 points from Carson Vandelune and 21 from Durant Van Dyke. The two teams met each of the last two seasons, with Montezuma winning the previous matchup last season.
