Chad Bennett

The trial for 50-year-old Chad Bennett of Pleasantville, who is charged with sexual abuse of a minor, has been pushed back again. It was previously scheduled to begin December 14th, but will now begin April 25th, 2022.

The new date was set at a hearing held Thursday. Bennett had previously waived his right to a speedy trial, as well as his right to have the case tried within one year of arraignment. The delay also comes after Bennett requested a motion for new legal counsel, which was approved.

Bennett is charged with three counts of 2nd degree sexual abuse in connection to an incident in June 2020.
