indianola-3

Offense was hard to come by as the #2 Indianola girls basketball team fell to Lewis Central 38-35 in overtime Tuesday evening. Both the Indians and Titans had trouble putting the ball in the hoop throughout the contest, despite both teams averaging well over 40 points to begin the season. Head coach Jeff Jansen tells KNIA Sports the Indians are continuing their hard work early in the season, and are still looking to continue creating the best shot rather than taking the first decent shot.

“One of the great things about working with this team is they are all unselfish basketball players, almost to a fault. Our offense will continue to get better and we’ll challenge ourselves to get better every day”

Lauren Blake led the team with 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 steals. The Indians are now 3-1 on the season, and host Pella Christian on Friday.
