Miss Iowa’s Outstanding Teen Maggie Leach of Pella took part in the Holiday Heroes program Tuesday. It’s part of her community outreach after participating in the Miss America program.

Leach shared part of the evening with School Resource Officer J.R. Pearson in taking a trip with a child through Walmart to shop for the holidays. She was quick to credit the work of local first responders and humbled to participate in the event spreading Christmas cheer to several families.
