The Pella Christian and Norwalk bowling teams competed on Saturday with each school winning a match. The Norwalk girls defeated the Eagles 1922-1669, and the Pella Christian boys defeated the Warriors by five with a score of 2371-2366.
In the girls match, Norwalk was led by Katie Desmond who posted a match high two-game score of 307, and Alyssa Wolfe posted a score of 271. Pella Christian was led by Alexa Klaasen with a two-game score of 269, followed by Alayna VanKooten with a 234. With the win the Norwalk girls improved to 3-1 on the season, while the Eagles girls fell to 0-2 on the year.
In their first win of the season, the Eagles boys were led by Jack Zula with a two-game score of 343, followed by Zaylor Rus with a score of 318. The Warriors were led by Matt McCombs with a match high two-game score of 376 with Andrew Winfrey not far behind with a score of 353. Pella Christian improved to 1-1 on the year with the win, while Norwalk fell to 2-2.
Both the Pella Christian and Norwalk bowling teams are off for the holiday break and will return to action in 2022 on January 8th. The Warriors bowling teams will host Oskaloosa, and the Eagles will take on crosstown rival Pella.
