One of the biggest reasons for the Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad’s success early this season is the play of Cheyanne Bruns. She was probably the most improved player for the Sabers last season, and has taken it up a notch to be the Sabers’ biggest threat on the perimeter. Coach Zack Dunkin tells KNIA/KRLS Sports she gets good looks from her teammates and has gained a ton of confidence along the way.

Dunkin: “She’s led us in scoring the last three games and has knocked down shot when she’s open and girls have gotten her the ball, and she’s not afraid after a slow start to still pull the trigger and shoot herself back into the game.”

Bruns and the Sabers are back in action against Tri-County on January 6th.
