winterupdate

While a few smaller rounds of winter weather are in the forecast this week with mixed precipitation possible today and colder air coming Wednesday, this weekend could mark the return of a more significant system in the region.

Wind chills in the single digits are possible in the morning tomorrow, but after a brief warm up to end the week, 2022 could be coming in with snow and bitter cold.

The National Weather Service is monitoring long-term forecasts for the possibility of the first significant snowfall of the winter season, and behind it, wind chills well below zero Saturday night into Sunday morning.
