Road conditions are expected to become hazardous due to the winter storm incoming today and possibly Saturday.

The Marion County Engineer’s Office anticipates that plows and graders will start clearing snow and laying down salt and sand on roads around noon and be out until 7 or 8 pm. The plows and graders will then resume clearing snow and laying salt and sand beginning around 6 am. Clearing of the roadways may continue into Sunday depending on the amount of snow that falls.

During the storm, please take plenty of time to get to your destination and give our first responders and road crew workers plenty of room to work. Don’t crowd the plow.
