The Pella Christian basketball teams played five games in a 10-day span out of the holiday break and are looking forward to getting back to practice this week.
The Eagles last played on Thursday, when they were swept in the Tulip City Showdown against Pella. Pella Christian is now off until Friday, before the schedule begins to ramp back up next week. Both the boys and girls basketball teams are hoping to utilize this midseason break by getting healthy, and Eagles Head Boys Basketball Coach J.D. Boer says he’s looking forward to finding ways to get better.
“We’ve got to find ways to just continue to improve, and that’s on both ends of the floor. I’ve liked our defense lately. I think we’ve really taken a step forward and now the next step is just offensively finding some consistent ways to score. But we’ll find ways. We’ll continue to look at things, look over some film, and make some adjustments offensively so that we can keep moving forward.”
The Eagles return to action Friday night when they welcome Norwalk to Eagle Lane.
