Author Larry Baker is holding a reading of his latest novel, Wyman and the Florida Knights, at the Knoxville Public Library on Thursday January 27th. Baker tells KNIA/KRLS News what the novel is about.

“This is a story about the Knight family, 1866-2016. This northern carpet-bagging minister comes down to Florida in 1866, wanting to establish a new church. He ends up being killed, but his nephew comes down there, falls in love with Florida, takes over, buys up hundreds of thousands acres of land and so from that a family descends. And the book is about what happens to that family.”

Baker’s reading of Wyman and the Florida Knights will be on Thursday January 27th at 6 pm.
