An arctic blast of air continues into the region. Low temperatures will drop well below zero through Friday, with wind chill values as low as 25 below zero expected, according to the National Weather Service. Today will be the coldest point of the week, as afternoon highs barely top zero degrees. Frostbite and hypothermia can occur in those conditions in as little as 30 minutes, especially without proper winter gear for protection. Everyone is asked to avoid prolonged exposure outdoors and to bring outdoor pets into shelter. Stay tuned to KNIA/KRLS for the latest winter weather information.
