Area high school speech students begin competition through the Iowa High School Speech Association this Saturday.

Pella High School is hosting all Marion County schools competing, including two teams of their own competitors, Pella Christian, Knoxville, PCM, Pleasantville, Twin Cedars, and Melcher-Dallas, for the Large Group Speech District Competition.

Indianola and Norwalk students are traveling to Clarke High School.

Area students who earn a Division “I” rating at the district competitions will advance to the State Large Group Competition on February 5th at Cedar Rapids Kennedy (Pella site) or WDM Valley High School (Clarke).
