PCM’s girls basketball squad will look for their first three-game winning streak since December 2019 as they take on Newton.

The Mustangs have won their last two games over Saydel and Albia. A big boost for the Mustangs is getting Paige Steenhoek back after missing time with a stress fracture in her shin. However, the Mustangs will continue to operate without Coach Sami Allison-Rodriguez after she tested positive for COVID-19. Assistant Coach Jason Stock has taken over the head-coaching duties. PCM has matched up with Newton twice in the VarsityBound era and won both times. The two teams squared off last season and PCM won the game, 38-28.

The game at Newton High School gets underway Monday at 6:45 PM.
