While the Melcher-Dallas Girls Basketball Squad wishes to be playing along with the Saints’ Marion County counterparts of the Bluegrass Conference tonight, they will look to conclude their BGC Tournament in a consolation round match up with Moulton-Udell. The Saints fell to Ankeny Christian on Tuesday in the quarterfinals 39-36 where Coach Kelsey Golf said they suffered too many turnovers and did not rebound well enough. Goff and the rest of the coaching staff have been pleased with the progress the girls have made this season especially since coming back from break earlier this month.

Goff: “Their eyes just light up. If it’s a certain play and passing the ball a certain way, and when they capitalize on a play or make an assist, they start clapping for themselves or other teammates when that happens.

The game will take place at Mormon Trail and will tip off at 6:00 this evening. Melcher-Dallas and Moulton-Udell played on January 17th with the Saints narrowly winning 46-44.
