The Pella basketball teams hit the road to what will likely be a rowdy Newton gym as the Little Hawkeye Conference season enters its final two weeks of action.

No. 3 in Class 3A Pella (11-4, 7-2 in LHC) aims to avoid a pitfall against a Cardinals team (8-5, 5-4 in LHC) similar to the Norwalk team they defeated this week, while the Dutch girls (9-6, 4-5 in LHC) — just out of the 4A rankings for the first time since the beginning of the season, are trying to rebound after back-to-back losses to the Warren County schools in the conference. Newton’s girls are 3-12 on the season and 1-8 against league opponents. Pella swept the previous matchup at PHS on December 17th, with the Dutch boys winning 69-55 and the girls 73-25.

Coverage of Pella vs. Newton basketball begins at 6:00 this evening on 92.1 KRLS.
