Cases of COVID-19 are rising quickly in Warren County, with 568 total positive tests over the last seven days and a 28% test positivity rate, over 300 more positive tests over the last week and a 12% positivity rate spike. Warren County has had 12,539 positive tests since the beginning of the pandemic, a growth of over 2,000 since early January, the largest spike since the beginning of the pandemic.

COVID-19 cases are also spiking within the Indianola Community School District. The COVID-19 dashboard shows between 0-5 student or staff cases from Wilder Elementary, 10 at Emerson, 9 at Irving, and 10 at Whittier, with 34 at Indianola Middle School and 21 at the High School. Any cases less than six must be reported as between 0-5.
The New York Times Coronavirus Database shows 59% of Warren County residents are fully vaccinated, while those over the age of 65 and up are 94% fully vaccinated, with the current risk in the county for unvaccinated adults listed as extreme. Warren County has had 121 deaths from COVID-19.

Currently, those not fully vaccinated account for 68.8% of COVID-19 patients in the ICU, and 62.2% of patients hospitalized by COVID-19. COVID-19 vaccinations are available at Warren County Health Services. For more information, click below.
