For at least the past ten years, the Knoxville Lions club has set up the Avenue of Flags on Highway 14. Beginning this year, the Knoxville Rotary Club will take on the project. Knoxville Lions Club Secretary Steven Jones tells KNIA/KRLS News that he is excited to see the project continue.
“It’s a major project in the city. It looks great, we get a lot of people who send us pictures as they are driving through that they took of the flags. And so, we’re happy as a club to see this have an opportunity to continue to live on.”
The Avenue of Flags is set up five times a year including for Memorial Day, Flag Day, and Labor Day.
