The Knoxville Recreation Center serves their members in many different ways, and Wellness Director Angie Jones with the Recreation Center tells KNIA/KRLS News one of those ways is making sure their instructors are well trained.

“People get to the point that they like to stay with one instructor, but in our club, we haven’t found that too much. If we substitute instructors for classes or classes for instructors, people are happy with whoever is walking on the floor. I think one of the main reasons for that is that all of our instructors are fully certified – if not in the format that they’re teaching then complete group fitness – and we work hand and hand with also training our instructors to teach the different classes. So, they (members) know when they’re walking into a fitness class, whoever they are going to walk into, they’re going to get a good, certified, safe fitness class.”
