Six members of the Central College track and field distance program are headed to Boston, Massachusetts this weekend to compete in the David Hemery Valentine Invitational on the campus of Boston University.

In the women’s session on Friday, Caroline McMartin will compete in the mile at 5 p.m., and then her and teammate Megan Johnson run the 3,000-meter race at 8:10 p.m.

For the Central men’s track team, Caleb Silver will run the 5,000-meter race at 9 a.m. Saturday morning in Session number one. Saturday’s second session begins for the Dutch with Will DeHaan and Adam Sylvia competing in the mile at 5 p.m. Noah Jorgenson will run in the 800 meter race at 7 p.m. before all four men end the night by running in the 3,000 meter race at 8:30 p.m.

All six Central runners are seeking improved times for NCAA Division III Championships qualifying. This trip marks the third time coach Joe Dunham has taken a contingent of Dutch student-athletes to this indoor meet since 2014.
