The final game of the regular season for PCM’s boys’ basketball squad ended with a loss at Heart of Iowa Conference foe Nevada, 72-53.

The Mustangs tried to match Nevada’s three-point shooting blow for blow, but it ultimately wasn’t enough. PCM is swept by Nevada for the third straight season and has lost the last six games against the Cubs. Just like the first matchup between the two squads this season, Nevada unleashed a monster fourth quarter to pull away. The Mustangs surrendered a combined 54 fourth-quarter points to the Cubs in their two matchups this season. PCM finishes the regular season with a 12-9 record and a 9-4 record in Heart of Iowa Conference play.

The Mustangs will begin playoff action Monday night against Chariton. The game will be broadcast on 92.1 KRLS.
