A slow start could not stop the Twin Cedars Girls Basketball Squad in its first round class 1A regional game against Tri-County as the Sabers prevailed 39-to-28. Coach Zack Dunkin told KNIA/KRLS Sports his team calmed down after halftime and held Tri-County in check. He added Brooke Roby was the calming influence with 14 points, three rebounds and five steals. Cheyanne Bruns added 13 points and seven rebounds. Twin Cedars is 16-7 on the season and will travel to Lamoni to take on the Demons for a 3rd time this season on Tuesday. Meanwhile the boys will get their class 1A District trail started with an opening round game tonight against Moulton-Udell.
