The Pella Christian bowling teams hosted State Qualifying bowling on Tuesday and saw their season come to an end.
The Eagles boys team finished in third place in the meet behind Vinton-Shellsburg and Monticello, with a team score of 2342. Austin Moorman, with a score of 545 and Jack Zula, with a score of 540 just missed the cut for a spot at state. Moorman finished fifth just 17 pins back of the fourth and final qualifier, with Zula coming in sixth 22 pins back of a spot at state.
The Pella Christian girls squad finished the meet in fourth behind Vinton-Shellsburg, Knoxville, and Monticello with a team score of 1735. Alexa Klaasen finished in 13th in the meet with a score of 396, with Dani Roose not far behind in 14th place with a score of 392.
The Eagles bowling season comes to an end with both teams finishing the season with a 1-6 record.
