The Pella Police Department and Triumph Martial Arts partnered together for a free Women’s Self Defense seminar Wednesday evening. Pella Police Chief Shane McSheehy says the public-private partnership was intended to give basic skills to residents to ensure they can be safe in situations where they may be attacked. McSheehy says the partnership with Triumph will move forward with additional classes, and is also a continuation of ongoing training for officers. The next class will be hosted at Triumph Martial Arts on April 8th, and is free and open to residents. Find more details here.
