One year later in the same round and gym that their season ended, against an opponent from the same conference, the Pella Christian boys basketball team looks to flip the script and get back to the substate finals this evening in Oskaloosa.
The #6 in 2A Eagles (16-6, 4th in Little Hawkeye Conference) head to Oskaloosa to take on South Central Conference Champions Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (20-2), who knocked out Albia in the district semifinals on Eagle Lane Thursday, prior to Pella Christian’s domination of Central Decatur.
While a lot looks similar about this contest to a year ago, the 2022 Eagles are playing solidly as the postseason begins, and have their minds set on a long tournament run. Pella Christian defeated the Rockets in one of their two losses on the season in a 69-50 game back in December.
EBF is paced by 6’5″ Sophomore Brook Moore and his 17.1 points per game, and 6’7″ Ethan Moore and his 16.7 points, nine rebounds, and five assists per contest.
Coverage of the Eagles and Rockets begins at 6:30 this evening on 92.1 KRLS.
