While the wins and losses did not amount to great numbers this season for both Knoxville boys and girls bowling squads, the Panthers put up good numbers while improving their game all season. Coach Shaun Renard tells KNIA/KRLS Sports both squads were able to make strides all season.
Renard: “These kids did everything I asked them to do all season. They put in the work and the wins and losses don’t show how hard they worked, and most of the time the opposing coach would tell me their team scored the highest they’ve scored all season when they went up against us, so a great group of kids this year.”
The girls were 5-8 overall and 3-6 against South Central Conference teams led by Paige Ludington. She knocked down 4,872 total pins with a high game of 198 and a high series of 500. The boys were 2-9 and 1-7 against fellow South Central Conference teams. Robert Sloan was the top boys bowler for the season as he knocked down a total 5,811 pins, had the highest game of 277, and had a high series of 594. Both Sloan and Ludington are among ten seniors that will depart the program. Ludington will continue her competitive career at Lindenwood University next year.
