Simpson College has announced a new program in partnership with Mercy College of Health Sciences to allow students to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Exercise Science or Biology from Simpson and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mercy in just four years.

Simpson President Marsha Kelliher said during the press conference she is pleased that Simpson has been able to partner with Mercy to provide students with more opportunities in furthering their education.

“Our partnership with Mercy College offers students a powerful dose of combined educational excellence. Providing students with this unique opportunity to obtain two degrees in four years will give them distinct advantages in their career pursuits.”

Mercy College Vice President of Academic Affairs and Provost Nancy Kerst tells KNIA News students will be able to complete the first degree in three years at Simpson, then take advantage of both virtual and in-person learning at Mercy for the final year of the program, and the affiliation with Simpson helps accelerate the preparation of the next generation of healthcare professionals.
