The Pella City Council moved forward with key infrastructure and zoning projects at their meeting Tuesday.

Public hearings were held to transfer ownership of Caldwell Park north of University Street to the Pella Community School District for construction of new tennis courts, to rezone the northern terminus of Hazel Street and Country Club Drive from agricultural to residential for ATI Group, and for an ordinance and resolution to adopt and approve regulations for small cell wireless facilities, specifically relating to wireless antennas assisting with the rollout of 5G infrastructure.

The council also approved resolutions updating fees for the Pella Aquatic Center, scheduling a public hearing on April 5th to approve a contract for reconstruction of University Street and East 8th Street near Caldwell Park, and accepting of public improvements at the Pella Municipal Airport and Oostpoort Alley.
