Phase 2 of the Indianola Downtown Square Reconstruction Project is scheduled to begin Monday.

Fencing will go up on Salem from 1st St to Howard and Howard from Salem to Ashland. Later in the week will include the extensive removal of streets on Salem, with street signs, poles, and other items removed. A turnaround will be established on Salem west of the Salem and Howard intersection, utilizing parking spaces and will allow street access to businesses.

The lighting poles that were delayed due to supply chain issues are expected to be installed next week. The temporary lighting poles that were used in Phase 1 will be replaced, and the replacement will not cause any road closures.
