A hot topic amongst parents, and lawmakers is the proposed school voucher program. Senator Amy Sinclair tells KNIA/KRLS News her thoughts on the topic.
“I believe wholeheartedly that parents are the ones that should be making decisions that drive their child’s learning and growth so philosophically parental choice of education matters to me. That’s not an anti education viewpoint, it’s not an anti teacher view point, It’s a viewpoint that parents know what’s best for their kids. There are parents that make bad choices, there are also people in every profession or position that do not make great choices but that shouldn’t undermine what we know to be true that parents are a child’s number one advocate and should be making those decisions for them.
