Norwalk boys’ track squad had a successful day at the IATC Track Meet in Ames Friday, coming away with six top-ten finishes in events.

 

The Warriors’ top individual finisher came from Senior Grant Miller in the 60 meter hurdles. Miller placed third overall with a time of 8.59 seconds. In the 400 meter dash, Junior Jacey Hutson finished ninth overall with a time of 53.98 seconds. The final top-ten finish in the individual events came from Junior Skyler Olson, placing tenth with a time of 7.36 seconds in the 60 meter dash.

 

Norwalk also had three top-ten finishers in team events. The top finish came in the 4×400 meter relay, which was run by Hutson, Brody Lucas, Cade Campbell, and Dillon Ranck. The team placed fourth with a time of 3:35. The Warriors also had two eighth-place finishes in the 4×60 meter shuttle hurdle and the 4×800 meter relay. The 4×60 was run by Miller, Campbell, Daniel Webster, and Isaac Sutcliffe. The team finished with a time of 37.01 seconds. The 4×800 meter relay was run by Lucas, Ben Hanson, Henry Groos, and Cameron Thomas. The team finished with a time of 8:37.

 

Norwalk’s first outdoor invite of the season is March 22nd at Simpson College.
