The Simpson College Speech and Debate Team are National Overall Team Champions in combined speech and debate for the first time in school history. The team earned a first place finish in Overall Sweepstakes, first in Debate Sweepstakes, and fourth in Individual Sweepstakes. Individually, Danielle Blake and Drake Wood were national champions in Public Forum Debate, Teagan Townsend was national champion in NFA LD, and many other individual competitors were recognized with top marks.
