After making the state semifinal last season, Norwalk’s girls’ soccer squad will look to get back to the Cownie Complex for a state championship.

The Warriors last season finished with one of their best records in school history, finishing 16-3 with an undefeated Little Hawkeye Conference record. Norwalk will be returning their top scorer from last season, Jocelyn Bice. Bice accounted for 23 of the Warriors’ 62 goals scored last year. Bice joins a group of returning starters including goalkeeper Kennedy Burch, Serenity Madonia, Reagan Holtorf, and Hannah Kehoe. Coach Andrew Messer tells KNIA Sports that his focus is going to be on controlling what his team can control.

“Take care of what you control and the rest will take care of itself. I just had a meeting with the girls, we know what we are going for. We know what we are aiming for, but we have things to take care of before we even consider that.”

Norwalk opens their season March 28th at ADM.
