The second-year return of boys tennis at Pella Christian is seeing steady improvement among the nine guys returning to the program from last season. Prior to last season, it had been nine years since the Eagles had a boys tennis team and Head Coach Keith Anderson says he is excited to be starting further along in the teaching process with his returning players.

“Seeing the skill sets that they now have that they didn’t have when we started last year, it’s encouraging to see that we retained those skills over the long offseason. So, with those guys specifically we can continue to grow them in their ability to play. And not just with the techniques and the different skills, but also match strategy and match fitness.”

The Pella Christian boys tennis team has seen their numbers grow from 10 members last season to nearly 20 this year. The Eagles begin their season on April 4th in a match at Albia.
