Pella Regional Health Center announced that Kris Page, BSN, in Surgery is the recipient of the quarterly DAISY Award. It’s a national award, given at the local level, to registered nurses who exemplify extraordinary nursing. The focus is on the special touches and human consideration that these nurses give to their patients.

Excerpt from Kris’s nomination:

“Kris is an outstanding nurse with a very large heart. She always takes the time to get to know her patients and makes a lasting impression on those she interacts with. Kris has had several instances where her compassion and commitment to her patients and the nursing profession has shown in her work. She is always willing to help and often goes above and beyond her duties. Surgery and Pella Regional are lucky to have Kris be part of our team. She lives out our mission statement of providing healthcare and healing services with Christian compassion!”

Page received a certificate that reads: “In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people.” She was also given a sculpture called A Healer’s Touch, hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.
