indianola-8

The Indianola boys soccer team battled the Titans of Lewis Central tough for the majority of the contest in their season opening contest on the road Tuesday, but fell 3-0.
The Indians held the Titans scoreless in the first half and went into the break at a 0-0 standstill, but fell in the second half where the Titans took advantage of mistakes and built the final deficit. Head coach Heath Weeks said it was a fun, competitive game and the Indians fought hard throughout the entire contest. Weeks also said there were strong individual showings and a lot to build on, but the squad will need to win more of these types of games in the future.
The Indians fall to 0-1, and take a week off until they travel to conference powerhouse Pella on Tuesday.
