A core group of talent returning has the Pella Boys Soccer team excited for what the 2022 season could hold.
While a strong senior group graduated — especially known for its defensive prowess, the vast majority of offensive production returns for the Dutch who had their season end in the state quarterfinals vs. ADM, according to Head Coach Mark Solomon. Pella graduates just three of the 48 goals they scored last year, and will be led by First Team All-State selection Isaac Semini, who scored 20 times in 2021. He will be supported by Logan Solomon (6 goals), Ike Held (5), Austin Bone (5), Preston Rowe (4), and Teddy Apostolopoulos (3) in a scoring attack that could be lethal to opposing defenses.
Pella opens the season tonight vs. Winterset at home, with JV starting at 5:30 this evening and varsity to follow.
