Indianola High School Band students performed in the annual solo and small ensemble contest this past weekend, with 44 events involving over 70 students. The Brass Choir, Woodwind Choir, Flute Choir, Trombone Choir, and Percussion Choir were among 28 Division I ratings, as well as 16 Division II ratings.

Judges awarded recognition for outstanding performances to:

Soren Christensen – French Horn Solo
Kyle Roberts – Trombone Solo
Sam Thessen – Alto Sax Solo

As well as the Saxophone quartet for Zane Kolosik, Sam Thessen, Nathan Barth, and Zach Anderson.
