The Indianola City Council met in a special session Wednesday afternoon, approving the hire of Ben Reeves as the new City Manager. Indianola Mayor Stephanie Erickson said what she liked most about Reeves during the interview process was he acknowledged that there will be disagreements in the community about how to get Indianola where we want it to be, and it will be his job to try and bring everyone together.

“We all want to get to the same place at the end of the day. We all want to make Indianola a better community, a vibrant community, and a growing community, but we all have a little bit different ideas of how to get there. So we are excited about his leadership coming in and helping us get that community together. Where our paths differ, he will be a great sounding board for that.”
