The Knoxville Girls Tennis Squad will head to Saydel today for an invitational. This will be just the second event for the Panthers as this week’s only other event was postponed to later in April due to the weather conditions. Knoxville Coach Nick DeMoss tells KNIA/KRLS Sports this meet will give him a chance to see what his players do in a tournament format and hopefully will aid in his planning later on when the regionals and conference meets arrive.

DeMoss “That all factors into it as well. If I have a doubles team that’s going to play doubles in a tournament, I’m going to keep them together if at all possible, and I wouldn’t put my number one with a doubles team if I could help it. I haven’t seen enough tennis this year to make a decision so we have shuffle line ups around just to get the doubles and singles we want.”

The Panthers along with host Saydel will be joined by Centerville and Southwest Valley. Action is set to get underway this morning at 9:00.
