Knoxville Police and the Marion County Sheriffs’ Office were called to Wheel Estates Mobile Home Park in Knoxville at 11:40 am Friday morning for reports of a male firing a gun. It was unknown if the gun was fired at the ground or in the air, officials did tell KNIA/KRLS News there were no reports that the gun was fired at anyone. Officers made contact with the suspect and found him at the Marion County Courthouse and took him into custody. A search warrant was issued for 36-year-old Freddy Salinas’s residence where evidence was collected. Salinas is a Felon and was charged with Reckless Use of a Firearm a simple misdemeanor, and a Felon in Possession of a Firearm and or Ammunition. Further charges are pending.

Salinas is considered innocent until proven guilty in court.
