Special Olympics Iowa held their West Central Spring Games at Indianola Stadium and Indianola Middle School Tuesday. Athletes of all ages competed in a range of events including sprints, long distance runs and walks, softball throws, and jumps. Special Olympics Iowa representatives tell KNIA News it was great to see the athletes and volunteers out competing despite the cold and windy weather, and she thanks the volunteers, parents, organizers, and officials for running the event.
